A 15-Minute Daily Guitar Practice Routine
On a short day, a fixed order saves time. Divide the session into preparation, one focused movement, and uninterrupted playing.
주요 기능과 선택 항목
- Use 3 minutes to tune and settle
- Spend 5 minutes on one skill
- Use 7 minutes to keep music moving

Prepare for three minutes
Tune, check the chair height, and release the shoulders and wrists. Play each open string once from string six to string one at a normal level. Confirm that the tuner settles near the target, the shoulder does not lift, and the wrist is not sharply bent. If the open strings are still unstable, tune again before starting the skill exercise.
Focus for five minutes
Choose only chord changes, strumming, or single notes and set one pass condition, such as three C-to-G changes at 50 BPM. If you stop, mute a note, or lose the motion twice in a row, lower the tempo by 5–10 BPM or practise one hand alone. Count clean attempts so the five minutes produce a result you can compare.
Play for seven minutes
Use a short progression or song section and protect the pulse after small mistakes, using an easier chord shape if needed. Record the final 20 seconds and note one bar where you stopped or rushed. Begin around that bar next time instead of restarting the entire song.
Pio: Can fifteen minutes really help?
Dock-sensei: Yes. Repeated focused sessions matter more than an occasional exhausting practice day.
Set up the timer
- Split the timer into 3, 5, and 7 minutes
- Choose one focus before starting
- Leave one short note for the next session

자주 묻는 질문
What if I only have five minutes?
Tune for one minute, focus for three, and play freely for one. Keeping the habit matters.
Should every session be identical?
Keep the same framework for a week and replace only the part that has become comfortable.
How do I choose the five-minute focus?
Choose the shortest motion that stops you today: one chord pair, one bar of rhythm, or four notes. Make it small enough that you can judge whether it succeeded three times.
What if a finger or wrist hurts during practice?
Stop for sharp pain, numbness, or joint pain. If symptoms continue after rest, do not force another session; seek qualified medical advice or ask a teacher to check the playing position.
