How to use the scale finder
The scale finder maps every note in a selected scale on a fretboard or keyboard, with the root clearly distinguished.
Three basic steps
- Choose an instrument and root.
- Choose major, minor, pentatonic, or another scale.
- Practice the highlighted notes upward and downward.
A beginner-friendly setting
Start with C major or A minor pentatonic and play slowly in both directions.
