How to use the progression library

A chord progression is the order in which chords change. Changing the key transposes the whole pattern while keeping each chord's harmonic role.

Three basic steps

  1. Choose a practice key.
  2. Compare the character and difficulty of each progression.
  3. Open a chord or launch practice mode.

A beginner-friendly setting

Try C–G–Am–F in C, holding each chord for four beats.

If something is not working

If a chord is difficult, open its fingering and lower the practice tempo.

If something is not working

If the click feels delayed, try the device speaker instead of Bluetooth headphones.

Frequently asked questions

How can I change chords faster?

Preview the next chord, keep the beat moving, and repeat short changes while anchoring any finger that can stay near its next position.

What BPM should I start at?

Use the fastest tempo that still allows clean changes. Start at 60 BPM if you are unsure.
