Frequently asked questions
What BPM should a beginner use?
60–80 BPM is a useful starting range, but difficult material can be practised as slowly as 40 BPM.
What is tap tempo?
Tap repeatedly with a song and the metronome estimates BPM from the spacing between taps.
How to use the drum machine
Play classic grooves such as 8 Beat and Shuffle, perform on the pads, record and edit 16 steps, or practise timing in challenge mode.
Three basic steps
- Choose a rhythm pattern and BPM.
- Play with A, S, D, F or tap the on-screen pads.
- Record or edit a beat, or switch to challenge mode.
A beginner-friendly setting
Start with 8 Beat around 80–100 BPM and alternate the A kick with the S snare.
If something is not working
If no sound plays, check the device volume and mute switch, then press Start or an on-screen pad once.
Frequently asked questions
How is Shuffle different from 8 Beat?
An 8 Beat pattern divides time evenly, while Shuffle delays the offbeats to create a triplet-like bounce.
Is my beat saved?
